Jesus allows no shortcuts to following Him. The cost is high, but the reward is great: a full, joy-filled life now and forever. We must be willing to let go of the past and focus on Christ daily as He leads us towards what lies ahead. We must evaluate our priorities knowing that Jesus doesn’t guarantee comfort. We must embrace the cross with immediacy and urgency knowing that delay is disobedience.
