The image found in Revelation 21 has been preserved to give us glimpses of the promise of the glory that is to come. It is intended to remind us of the reason for the cross. It is intended to motivate us to fulfill our calling. As we live in this temporary country, we are responsible in all that we do for the sake of the eternal country to come. We live in the ongoing power of the Holy Spirit for the purpose of glorifying God knowing that one day all things will be made new.
