Jesus doesn’t allow his followers to ride the fence, to take a middle road. He doesn’t let us make up our own paths or forge a better way. He has already cleared the path and he did so through the shedding of his blood on the cross. There is no better way. There is no other way. In this age of influencers, the influence of the Logos, Jesus, the literal and figurative Word of God, must be our primary source of inspiration. Jesus wants us all in. Are we going to enter the wide gate and travel down the broad path to our destruction, or will we find the narrow gate and travel down the difficult path that leads to life?
