Jesus seemed to love communicating with and hanging out with His followers. He seemed to love those moments when the disciples asked things of him. Perhaps the reason for the discipline of prayer and the reason the Bible places such an importance on it is because it reveals whether or not we believe that God is sufficient and we are not. God is sufficient, so much so, that He even provided prayer—the mechanism by which we learn about and experience His sufficiency.
