When we look at the Old Testament, we see that the prophets anticipated the coming of Messiah and they patiently endured good kings and evil kings. They witnessed the destruction of their nation and dealt patiently with the oppression that followed while preparing the world for His arrival. Now, we look forward with anticipation to the return of Jesus and patiently endure the trials of this life while carrying out the work of preparing the world for his arrival.
