God wanted His people to be blessed in the Promised Land. He wants us to be blessed in the kingdom He is preparing. But He also needs us to understand that we can only enter by His grace and on His terms. The good news of the gospel is that even in our weakness, God makes us strong. Even when we fail, His grace remains. The key to success that has eternal significance is to, as the old hymn says, trust and obey.
