Peter’s confession was not well-received in the first century. In fact, this confession has cost many followers of Jesus their lives since then. In a 21st century society where pluralism, inclusivism, and tolerance are the cultural expectations, we should not expect people to readily embrace this confession. However, this confession is central truth of the Bible and the empty tomb stands as a monument to it.
