Jesus died on the cross and rose again so that we might finally be able to know God and enjoy Him the way we were originally created to do so. In one of his earlier letters, Paul wrote in Galatians 5:1 that we should stand fast in the liberty by which Christ has made us free. It is for this freedom that Christ has set us free, and it is this freedom that God so freely offers us today.
