Jesus predicted His death in Jerusalem three times in Matthew’s gospel (Mt. 16:21-23, Mt. 17:22-23 and Mt. 20:17-19). The good news is that every time Jesus spoke about His death, He did so in the context of the resurrection. The power of the resurrected Jesus gives us courage, confidence, and motivation to answer not only the hard questions of life for ourselves but to help others discover those answers for themselves.
